Musicians, Poets, Artists, Writers, Actors, Crafters, Filmmakers! Come to another delightful Coffeehouse at the Ravenna Kibbutz, where you'll find and/or participate in: great performances, writing, music, "That's what she said!" jokes, anatomy lessons, and terrible puns!
This month, instead of pizza, we have POTLUCK WINE AND CHEESE! Nosh and schmooze begins at 7:00. At 8:00 we'll start our monthly open-mic performance space and workshop for performing and visual artists in the Jewish community.
Please RSVP if you will attend. Use the Wall to sign up for a time slot if you have work to share. If you can't make it, there's no need to to tell us why. We'll just look for you next month! Timeslots are 5, 10, or 15 minutes -- your choice -- and can be used for presentation, workshopping, discussion, or any combination the artist desires.
The space cannot accommodate large ensembles or PAs/amplifiers. Acoustic guitars and a piano (Kurzweil PC-88) are available, as are sound playback and video projection.
So come one, come all to another arts extravaganza to remember! Cell phone acoustics! Marmots! Finches! Singing fish! This is the open mic where internet sensations are born, and where time is never planned!
(Seriously, we laugh a lot. And come away with inside jokes, every time. How could you miss an open mic where you could *learn to speak finch*??)
Needless to say, if you're more of an arts appreciator than a performer, you're still welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please bring wine, cheese, crackers or bread to share with everyone (or some $$ to offset the cost of Kibbutz supplies!).
