Moving to the Kibbutz
The Ravenna Kibbutz accepts new residents by an application and interview process, pending room availability. You can apply online at any time. The online application includes detailed explanations of the pricing structure for rooms in Kibbutz houses, and the discounts available for volunteer program organizers.
Applicants or those considering applying are also strongly encouraged to come hang out with us on the Kibbutz! Check out the public events on our calendar and attend a few. Do some dishes with us, and then ask a kibbutznik to bring you to a Cheder Ochel dinner, when the kibbutzniks all get together. First and foremost, we are building this community for ourselves, and we choose to live here because we love each other's company.
In addition to the (currently three) houses on the Ravenna Kibbutz, there are apartment buildings and other room rental opportunities in the immediate area. The map below shows our houses plus current/recent rental listings. Residents of non-Kibbutz housing within one or two blocks of the Kibbutz houses may apply for adjunct membership on the Ravenna Kibbutz, to gain access to Commons facilities, Kibbutz committees, and Public Program Grants (pending availability), just like residents of the main Kibbutz houses.
